I believe what was done in 2002-2006 is not torture. The "waterboarding" was not the same thing that was done in previous prosecutions of many examples of "watercuring." I do not believe my opinion makes me a monster and many, including the former AG, seem to agree with me.
So, I prefer the FNC attitude that does not call me evil, sadistic, and stupid. How about you chris? Does MSNBC do a good job in their self-rightous way of basically saying a large number of our citizenry are not worth any attention, should be in jail....perhaps even tortured themselves because they disagree with an opinion they hold? The lack of respect for people coming from NBC NEWS is the real controversy in journalism currently and is doing more damage to the minds and hearts of some than anything FNC can be accused of doing, or waterboarding for that matter! Primetime sermons masquerading as journalism that take advantage of the lowest common instincts in the viewers to basically hate others should be seen as wrong, damaging and radical. It won't be because we have a new self-rightous and intolerant group pursuing authority. They hypocritically claim they will do a superior job in keeping all us "rabble" on the moral high ground instead of those they label as pious, anti-intellectual and intolerant. NBC NEWS is the place to become indoctrinated in that world view and that is a shame because it was once an unbiased, respectful and thoughtful organization. From the Fox Comedy Channel website, in the comments section on a video about Glenn Blech's "reflections" on Obama's first 100 days in office:
Comment by DL April 29th, 2009 at 9:27 am First to Linda, sorry, if you are going to be the President of the United States you don’t get to many mistakes! Especially the ones Obama has made. Flying AF1 over NYC with fighter jets following!!! HELLO does HE deny 911 happened?? Second, you do NOT bow down to an Arab king. But, if you think that is the correct protocol, then you must bow down to the Queen of England, after all England is our friend and alli. Third, someone in the White House or on his staff should have told him what is appropriate gifts for visiting dignataries. How embrassing! And he had the audacity to apologize to Europe and the Arabs because of the way American’s behave. He should have just aplogized for himself! On top of all these things, and I am sure many more, add Biden’s blunders, a cabinet made up of tax cheats, illegal immigrant sympathizers, baby killer sympatherizers, environmentalists who are polluting more than a small city and you have the reincarnation of the Howdy Dowdy show, 21st century style! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "you do NOT bow down to an Arab king." Of course not. You should hold his hand and kiss him instead. Everybody knows that. . _________________ "I am the master of low expectations." - GWB, July 4, 2003 Posted by: mj on Thu 4.30 4:40pm
"Flying AF1 over NYC with fighter jets following!!!"
------------------------- Well it wasn't AF1. It was one of the backup planes. AF1 has to be wherever the President is. Posted by: john t on Thu 4.30 4:51pm
Not only that, it wasn't Obama flying "AF1", nor was it on his orders.
mj, did you happen to post your response at fokkks nation? dumbya kissed the Arab king, held his hand and pranced with him thru the TX blue bonnets. _________________ "Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from a religious conviction." -- Blaise Pascal Posted by: Visitor55 on Thu 4.30 4:53pm

I posted one, not on FoxNation, but at the regular FOX website where the story/video were, but didn't see it posted . . . dunno if you have to pre-register in order to comment {I didn't}, or if they had some kind of filter that rejects progressives {which wouldn't surprise me} . . . . _________________ "I am the master of low expectations." - GWB, July 4, 2003 Posted by: mj on Thu 4.30 5:41pm
I posted a few things on Foxnation and they made it past the moderator. I was somewhat surprised.

I mentioned something about them blaming Clinton for 9/11, and it received the standard "spending all his time chasing interns" type reply.
I recognize that Clinton had a healthy libido, but I don't think he could do 24/7. I responded with something that he didn't spend all his time doing it nor did he spend most of his time on vacation. _________________ Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Posted by: Paul on Thu 4.30 7:00pm
Hey, I just check the Fox Comedy Channels blogs, and my comment appeared . . .
Here's the complete reply: “First to Linda, sorry, if you are going to be the President of the United States you don’t get to many mistakes!” - That’s right . . . so WHAT if you ignore a PDB warning of an attack on the US, sit on your rear reading to school kids while said attack is taking place, can’t find WMDs either in Iraq or in your office, play air guitar while New Orleans drowns, or start two wars that turn a budget surplus into a deficit and melt down the economy? “Second, you do NOT bow down to an Arab king.” - That’s right - you should hold his hand and kiss him instead. “Third, someone in the White House or on his staff should have told him what is appropriate gifts for visiting dignataries.” - That’s right - and that should include ASKING the Queen what she wants. Oh wait, they did . . . They actually did let it thru. Surprise, surprise . . . . _________________ "I am the master of low expectations." - GWB, July 4, 2003 Posted by: mj on Thu 4.30 7:55pm

Thus far, no one's responded directly to my comment - guess it interferes too much with their talking points - but, I did happen to see this one zinger in that same thread: Comment by Damon B. April 29th, 2009 at 8:52 pm I am getting a little tired of hearing President Obama whining about Republicans who oppose his policies. 53 to 47% of the electorate is NOT a mandate. =============== Sooo . . . 53% to 47% is not a mandate -- but, Dumbya getting awarded the white house courtesy of the Supreme Court, is. I remember when the stupid neocons claimed that the 2% margin between dumbya and Kerry was a mandate. Now a 6% margin isn't. Almost anything said over at Foxnation.com could be posted here.
For example, in a thread discussing Pakistan/Taliban. "That`s how the Obama administration governs, by fear, and the gullible Obama robots buy into it everytime..." I swear I'm not making that up. ---- Still, I give the moderators props, my reply made it in this exchange Bryan Reply Glenn, Rush, Bill, Sean etc are on the money. I fear there are not enough true, educated, conservative Americans left to make a difference. We may be the minority nationally and in government. From the Glen Beck thread on the mains:
All the crazy liberals attacking Beck can only call names. List one point Beck has made that is not true. Stay specific now and don't go off on tangents. Glenn Beck comes with facts and figures in hand. He is very articulate and specific with his arguments. Again, the first rule of debate, is to address the issues being presented. Instead of smearing one and wishing them dead, I challenge Liberals to make specific arguments against his specific points. You can't. This is elementary debate, every 10th grader knows this. The point is, Liberals never stay on point and address the arguments, point by point. Why? because they cannot. The man from Acorn was the one talking over with diversion tactics and not answering any of Beck's specific questions. Which proves the point. Liberals are dumbed down who think with emotion and not intellect. Beck is a learned man who speaks with clarity and a he has a great sense of humor. The angry miserable liberal will never get it, and men like Beck should stop casting pearls of wisdom before ignorant swines. ajarizona ajarizona | 05.08.09 - 12:08 am ---------------------------- Ellen gave it an example of where Beck lied. O'Reilly's point is that if you define marriage as something outside the context of natural law, then the possibilities of how it can be defined are limitless.
Cecelia | 05.12.09 - 7:01 pm | "natural law"? ROFLMAO! Since when does "nature" legislate human behavior? Baboons like Beck compose their societies by harems. ----------- Obama Says U.S. Long-Term Debt Load ‘Unsustainable’ May 14 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama, calling current deficit spending “unsustainable,” warned of skyrocketing interest rates for consumers if the U.S. continues to finance government by borrowing from other countries. “We can’t keep on just borrowing from China,” Obama said at a town-hall meeting in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, outside Albuquerque. “We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our children’s future with more and more debt.” = I guess the dipshit forgot that his own budget triples the national debt over 10 years.
